The Wärtsilä Nacos Platinum series of navigation, automation and control systems has been updated to include a number of new functions. Among the most interesting of the new functions is Intelligent Route Planning, which takes into account weather and sea conditions to provide route and power optimisation and, therefore, notable fuel savings.  Automated execution is also available.
