Rolls-Royce livre son 1000eme propulseur UUC

Rolls-Royce is proud to announce that it has just delivered its 1000th UUC underwater mountable thruster. It is the third unit in a series of six being installed on Seadrill’s new mobile drilling ship currently under construction at Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea.
The UUC thruster range is the market leader in mobile drillship propulsion, with over 70% global market share. There are more than a hundred mobile drill ships and semi-submersible drilling rigs operating in every major deepwater oil and gas field around the world today.

Déjà onze pré-inscrits officiels au prochain Vendée Globe

A un an et demi du départ du huitième tour du monde en solitaire et sans escale, le 6 novembre 2016, déjà 11 skippers ont officialisé leur pré-inscription : Jérémie Beyou, Tanguy De Lamotte, Vincent Riou, Armel Le Cléac’h, Jean-Pierre Dick, Paul Meilhat, Kito De Pavant, Alessandro Di Benedetto, Morgan Lagravière, Alex Thomson et Bertrand De Broc. Lancements de bateaux neufs, rachats de 60 pieds existants, budgets bouclés ou pas complètement : la liste des pré-inscrits va s’allonger dans les semaines et les mois qui viennent et on peut raisonnablement attendre 20 à 25 bateaux sur la ligne de départ aux Sables d’Olonne.
